JVA Hindelbank – an institution of the Canton of Bern – is the only correctional facility for women in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
Since 2020, the scented candles have been cast with great care and dedication in the workshops of the Hindelbank correctional facility. To be able to hand over a meaningful work task to the incarcerated women in prison, makes me very happy. My products are produced for women by women.
In addition, the parcel dispatch from the online store and also the deliveries for the stockists are carefully packed and provided by them.
To work together with institutions, which offer people who cannot be employed in the conventional labor market, a meaningful job, is an important concern for me.
The incarcerated women live in residential groups within the prison and work in various fields on weekdays. The time spent in the Hindelbank correctional facility is intended to help the incarcerated women create the conditions for reintegration into society, so that they can lead their lives free of crime and responsibly after their release.
Our natural bath salts are made in a small natural cosmetics factory in the Graubünden mountains – handmade, of course!
In 2018, I met Sarah and Lucien from Naturschatz at a trade fair and we quickly realized that we have a lot in common and similar philosophies. A friendship developed and from it a wonderful cooperation. It is an honor for us to offer a natural treasure collection that we have created for us.
I organize the Barefoot Sisters Mountain Retreats for women with the wonderful Wanda Brunner. Both mountain girls from the Lauterbrunnen Valley, we quickly discovered many things in common and friendship and collaboration was simply the next logical and magical step.
Wanda is a passionate yoga teacher, convinced Ringana partner, deeply grateful woman, magician, cyclic moon child and dancer of life. She regularly teaches various yoga classes, is passionate about singing and playing the harmonium, leads women’s circles and is professionally an experienced hospitality-tourism-event management woman.

When I need portrait pictures of myself, or beautiful and professional mood and campaign pictures for Girl from the Mountain, I call Andrea Rufener. She is the “sister behind the camera” whom I trust 100%. Her work is breathtakingly beautiful.
Andrea tells stories as a wedding and people photographer with everything that goes with it: love, laughter, tears, closeness, trust, romance, naturalness. Her images are soulful, dreamy and fit perfectly with Girl from the Mountain. By the way, she is one herself!
